May 2025: SaaS Lessons, Gaming Wins, and Building a Smarter Future

Before we dive in, why not take a quick peek at my portfolio: https://priyalraj.com, & while you’re at it, check out my SaaS venture: https://shavelinks.com, it’s where innovation meets simplicity.

How May Went: Some Surprises & Cool Progress 🌱

This month was full of small wins. I got new clients for my SaaS. I also finished some games on my YouTube channel and started planning a tool that can help with Salary Guidance. Here’s what my May looked like.

This was a surprise. I got 2 paying clients for ShaveLinks, but neither of them used my payment gateway. Instead, they messaged me directly and asked for UPI payments. They had custom needs, so I gave them a personal plan as per their needs.

It reminded me: Sometimes, a personal touch works better than automation.

2. Gaming Update: Finished The Walking Dead + 100 Subs 🎉

I finally completed The Walking Dead Season 1 and 2. Honestly, the story hit me hard. It’s one of those games where your choices matter, and the characters stay with you. And the big news, my gaming channel, CaptainPlayz, just crossed 100 subscribers! 🥳

🎮 I stream every night from 10 PM to 12 AM IST, and it’s been super fun to hang out with viewers and play story-based games.

Note: I stream in Hindi only, but if you just want to chat, feel free to join. I am comfortable with English too.

3. A New Idea: AI Salary Mentor 💡

This month, I started thinking about building a new tool. If you’re like me and earn from multiple sources, for example, freelancing, SaaS products, gaming, or content creation, tracking all that income can get messy fast. So, I came up with the idea of a salary guidance tool that helps organise and manage income from different places.

I can’t share too many details just yet, but if you’re interested in helping me build it, please fill out this form and support by sharing it too: SalaryToolForm.

4. A Few Things I Learned 🧠

May taught me some useful lessons:

  • Talking to people works. That’s how I got 2 clients.

  • Playing games + streaming = fun + growth.

  • Solving your own problems can lead to good product ideas.

What’s Coming in June 🚀

Here’s what I’m focusing on next month:

  • Build and test the first version of the Salary Manager

  • Start The Walking Dead Season 3 on stream

  • Reach out to more potential clients through DMs

That’s all for May! It felt like a quiet month on the outside, but a lot happened behind the scenes. I’m happy with the progress.

What were your biggest wins or challenges from May? What steps did you take to turn things around? Drop a comment below, I’d love to hear from you!
