Every new year comes with fresh goals and a renewed sense of purpose. By January 2025, I had two published Medium posts, an unexpected teaching extension, and a quick return to working on my SaaS product. It felt like I was juggling way more than I could handle. On top of that, I decided to split my YouTube channels by niche, making the month fly by in a blur!
Let’s start with something I actually got done. I planned to publish two blogs on Medium, and I did it! It felt great to see them go live, especially since my YouTube plans didn’t go as expected. Sometimes, small wins matter more than big ones.
Here are the blogs:
I tried to relaunch my SaaS product, ShaveLinks, after putting it on hold because I was too busy. But just as I got back to it, my old mentoring contract popped up again, extending my teaching for another three months. Teaching isn’t easy, explaining every function step by step is completely different from just coding. As someone who loves solving problems fast, slowing down to walk through every detail is a big change. It’s tough to slow down, but seeing students “get it” makes it worth it.
I originally had two YouTube channels: one for coding and one for everything else. But the second channel was all over the place, it had a mix of influencer content and gaming streams. So, I decided to split it into three channels:
Now, each channel has a clear focus. Let’s see how it works out!
When I needed a break, I watched Better Call Saul, trying to stick to one episode a day. It’s a bit slow at times, but every scene feels important. I’m hooked and will probably keep going with the next seasons soon.
Next month, I’m focusing on balancing teaching, coding, SaaS, and YouTube without burnout. Here’s my rough plan:
January didn’t go as planned, but it helped me focus on what matters. If you’re balancing multiple things or chasing your own goals, I hope my journey gives you some inspiration or at least a laugh.
